Brown the beef with the minced onion and garlic, add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer on low for 10 min. Serve on Dinner Rolls for awesomeness!
Combine ingredients together in a pot and heat on low until it begins to bubble and is thoroughly incorporated. Serve on tacos, nachos, Mexican pizzas or whatever you wish 🙂
This recipe I used to make years ago. I came across the recipe recently and decided to give it a try using organic ingredients instead of *cough* what I used to make it with. Here is what I did and it turned out quite nicely, definitely a repeater.
Spicey Southern BBQ Chicken
2 lbs Chicken pieces (I like to use strips of breast meat)
1 med Onion, sliced
1 c Chicken broth
2 T Vinegar
2 T Worcestershire sauce
2 T Chili powder
2-3 T Honey, Maple syrup or other natural sweetener of your choice
2 t Hot pepper flakes
Black pepper to taste
dash or two of turmeric
Place chicken in a 9×13, then place onion slices over top of the chicken. In separate bowl, combine remaining ingredients and stir well. Pour mixture over chicken and bake at 350 for 1 hour or until cooked thoroughly, basting with mixture occasionally.
I don’t know about you but back when we used icky chemical cleaners in our house, the kids were much more ‘into’ their chores when they could just grab the container of wipes to do their wipe downs. I missed that convenience…. A LOT…. so I decided to make my own 😉
Cleaning Wipes
6 oz distilled water
6 oz vodka (if you choose to not keep alcohol in your house, you can use White Vinegar)
24 drops essential oil (I used 6 each of Lavender, Lemon and 12 drops of Tea Tree)
cut up old T shirt or other thin, washable rags
In a pint mason jar or other glass receptacle, place all of your liquid ingredient into the mason jar then add rags until jar is full but the liquid is still able to be somewhat shaken.
4 drops essential oil scent of choice (I often use Peppermint, if you aren’t using the vodka, I would choose an oil that is disinfecting)
1 t Vodka (you can omit this if you choose not to have this in your home)*
I shook it up a little to show you just how sudsy this could be 🙂
*Changed Vinegar to Vodka because Dr. Bronners brand suggests never mixing vinegar and castile soap… I figure they probably know what they are talking about 😉
